If you are using Vista, I suggest you upgrade to SP2 or consider installing Windows 7. Also, even though it doesn't say there support for Windows 2000 is ending as well. This is a little program called Windows 7 Drive Icon Changer that allows you change the drive icon in My Computer.
For example:

It's called ResourceExtract. Runs on all Windows versions. It also requires no installation. Here we go:
VMware Player ((virtualization))Version released - 3.0.1GPU-Z ((benchmarking, hardware monitoring))Version released - 0.3.9TightVNC ((VNC, remote control))
